Using the Audio Bible Tool
Listen alongside your Bible, navigate by verse, and keep the rest of the app fully accessible while audio plays.
Open the Audio Bible tool
Tap the Audio Bible icon in the bottom navigation bar. It opens already queued to the first verse on your current page, ready to play. Tap the reference at any time to search for a different passage instead.
Choosing a voice: Go to More → Audio Bible Settings to pick a narrator and set your playback speed (1x, 1.25x, or 1.5x). Voice options depend on your active translation. NLT editions currently offer three voices: Oasis NLT, Holy Sanctuary, and Courage for Life. NTV offers Valentía para la vida. NVT offers Nova Versâo Transformada. Your choice becomes the default every time you open the player.
Navigating within a passage: Use the 15-second skip buttons to move within the current passage, or the chapter buttons to jump a full chapter. Skipping back mid-chapter returns you to the start of that chapter, not the previous one. Drag the scrub bar to land on any verse in the current chapter.
Keeping page and audio in sync: Tap Sync to jump the app to whatever passage is currently playing. To sync the other direction, navigate to your page, then close and reopen the Audio Bible player so it starts fresh from there.
While audio plays: Tap the bar on the player to minimize it and use the rest of the app freely. Starting a video automatically pauses the audio.
