Deleting Your Account

This article explains how to request deletion of your Filament Bible App account, what happens during the process, and what to expect afterward.

What account deletion does

Deleting your account permanently removes your account and the personal information associated with it from our system. This includes everything you've saved in the app, such as your highlights, notes, bookmarks, and reading progress. Once your account is deleted, this information is gone and cannot be recovered, so it's worth making sure you're ready before you request it.

Your physical Filament Bible is not affected in any way. The Filament app is a companion to your physical Bible, and deleting your app account has no impact on the Bible itself.

How to delete

  1. Tap the More menu in the navigation bar

  2. At the top, below your name, Tap Update Profile or Log Out

  3. At the bottom of the profile panel, Tap Delete Account.

  4. A confirmation window will pop up indicating your account will be deleted. Read thoroughly, and Tap Delete to confirm deletion.

Can I come back later?

Yes. If you change your mind down the road, you're always welcome to download the Filament app again and create a new account at no cost. The app is free on both the Apple App Store (iOS/iPadOS) and Google Play (Android). Please note that a new account will start fresh and won't restore any of the notes, or progress from your deleted account.
