Accessibility

Filament pairs with your device's own accessibility tools, and adds a few of its own.

Listening instead of reading: Filament streams audio for Bible content, helpful for low vision, long-reading fatigue, or just following along in print. It doesn't currently remember your exact spot within an audio section, so you may need to find your place again after switching away.

Your device's tools: On iPhone or iPad: Larger Text, VoiceOver, Zoom, and Spoken Content, all under Settings → Accessibility. On Android: Font size, TalkBack, and Magnification, under Settings → Accessibility.

Maps and visuals: Pinch to zoom on any map or image in See, and tap key locations for a closer look.

In-app display options: Under More → App Settings, adjust text size, choose a theme, change the interface language, remove the reading-plan badge, or hide status bar icons.

Closed captions: Most videos have them. Tap the CC icon on the player to turn captions on or off; the icon highlights when active. Not every video has captions available. If captions stop appearing, toggle the icon or reopen the video, then reach out to us if it's still not working.

Devices and language: iOS 14.0+ and Android 8.0+, no PC/Mac, or web version. The app interface is available in English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese; change it anytime under More → App Settings.
