Exploring the STUDY Section

The study section is one of Filament's most powerful features, delivering rich study content tied directly to the page you're reading. Here's a guide to everything available inside it.

Opening the Study Section

From the home screen, tap the Study icon. This opens the study window, which loads content for the page you're currently connected to. To return to the home screen at any time, tap Home.

Study Content Types

The study section opens to Study Notes by default. Use the dropdown menu to switch between the four content types available for your current page.

Study Notes: Verse-by-verse notes for every verse on your current page, similar to what you'd find at the bottom of a printed Study Bible. Scroll through to read notes from the first verse to the last on the page.

Book Overview: An introduction to the book you're currently reading. Content is organized into collapsible sections: tap any row or the chevron to expand or collapse it. Sections include Quick Facts (purpose, author, date, and setting) along with additional in-depth background on the book.

People: Profiles for the people and places mentioned on your current page. Tap any name in the list to open their article. Tap the back arrow to return to the full list.

The profiles shown are specific to the people and locations mentioned on that particular page.

Themes: In-depth articles on theological concepts and biblical background topics connected to passages on your current page. Each entry shows the article title and the related passage. Tap an article to read it: articles also include a list of passages for further study at the bottom. Tap the back arrow to return to the list.
