Using Interactive Maps
The Filament Bible App includes interactive maps that let you visually explore the biblical world. Zoom in on locations, toggle map layers, and tap places to discover events, photos, as wellas historical context.
Opening a Map
1. Open the See section: Interactive maps are found inside the See section. Tap the See icon from the home screen.
2. Filter by Maps: Use the dropdown menu to filter by Maps so you can quickly find any maps available for your current page.
3. Tap a map to open it: Tap any map in the list to open it in full interactive view.
Exploring the Map
Pinch, zoom, and pan: Use standard pinch-to-zoom and drag gestures to move around the map and zoom in or out on any area.
Info box: An info box appears with general context about the map. Slide it down to minimize it for a cleaner view, or slide it back up to bring it into view again.
Map layers: Tap the gray layers button to reveal toggles for additional map overlays. Depending on the map, these may include locations of healings, miracles, modern borders, and more. Turn layers on or off to customize what you see.
Interactive locations: Cities and regions shown in bold with a bold dot or box are interactive. Tap them to highlight the location's boundary and update the info box with a summary, a list of events that occurred there, and a photo.
Tap any photo in the info box to enlarge it for a closer look.
Closing the Map
When you're done exploring, grab the bar at the top of the map and slide it down. This closes the map and returns you to the home screen.
