Exploring STUDY
The study section is one of Filament's most powerful features, delivering rich study content tied directly to the page you're reading. Here's a guide to everything available inside it.
Opening the STUDY section
Tap the Study icon on the home screen to open study content for your current page. Tap Home anytime to leave.
Study content types
Study opens to Study Notes by default. Use the dropdown at the top to switch between four content types, all specific to the page you're on:
Study Notes: Verse-by-verse notes for every verse on the page, like the notes at the bottom of a printed study Bible.
Book Overview: An introduction to the current book, in collapsible sections covering Quick Facts (purpose, author, date, setting) and deeper background. Tap a row or its chevron to expand it.
People: Profiles of the people and places mentioned on your page. Tap a name to read it, and the back arrow to return to the list.
Themes: Articles on theological concepts and biblical background tied to your page, each showing its title and related passage, plus further passages to study at the end. Tap the back arrow to return.
Interactive Cross-references: Tap an underlined cross-reference to read that passage in a panel without leaving the study content, along with the page number where it falls in your Filament edition Bible.
