Connecting a Filament Edition Bible
Because the Filament Bible App connects directly to your physical Filament Edition Bible, it's important that the app knows exactly which Bible you're using. If the content shown doesn't match the page in front of you, you may be connected to the wrong edition. Here's how to check and fix it.
How to spot the problem: Scan a page in your Bible. If the scripture shown in the app doesn't match what's on that page, the app is likely connected to a different Bible edition than the one you're holding.
Steps
1. Open Quick Settings by tapping the Filament icon at the top of the app. It will show your currently active edition at a glance. For example, "Active Edition: NLT Thinline Reference Large Print."
2. View your connected editions: Tap the active edition line to open a full list of all Bible editions connected to your account. This is where you can see and switch between them.
3. Identify your physical Bible's edition: Open your physical Bible to the title page; the page near the very beginning where you originally scanned the QR code during setup. The edition name is printed on this page.
The edition name isn't always in the same position on the title page, but it will be clearly visible regardless of which Filament Edition Bible you have.
4. Select the correct edition in the app Match the edition name from your title page to the corresponding entry in the app's list, then tap it to make it your active edition.
5. Confirm with a scan Scan any page in your Bible. The scripture shown in the app should now match what's on that page, confirming you're connected to the right edition.
Good to know
Switching rontent is edition-specific, so page numbers differ between editions.
Don't have an edition activated yet? Go to More → Switch to a different Bible → Activate a new Bible to add it to your account first.
