Downloading the Filament Bible App
The Filament Bible App is a free companion app that unlocks additional content linked to Tyndale’s Filament Edition, print Bibles. This article walks you through downloading and setting it up on your iOS/iPadOS or Android device.
Downloading on iOS/iPadOS (Apple App Store)
Requirements: iPhone or iPad running iOS 14.0/iPadOS 15.5 or later.
On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store app.
Tap the Search icon.
Type Filament Bible App in the search bar and tap Search.
Locate the app titled Filament Bible App in the search results.
Tap Get (or the cloud download icon if you've installed it before).
Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password when prompted.
Wait for the app to download and install. Once complete, tap Open to launch it.
Tip: You can also download the app directly by visiting the Filament Bible listing on the App Store at apps.apple.com and searching for "Filament Bible App."
Downloading on Android (Google Play Store)
Requirements: Android device running Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later.
On your Android device, open the Google Play Store app.
Tap the Search icon.
Type Filament Bible App and tap the search icon or press Enter.
Locate the app titled Filament Bible App in the search results.
Tap Install.
If prompted, confirm any permissions required by the app.
Wait for the app to download and install. Once complete, tap Open to launch it.
Tip: You can also find the app by visiting play.google.com on your browser and searching for "Filament Bible App."
Troubleshooting
“The app doesn't appear in search results.”
Confirm your device meets the minimum OS requirements listed above.
“The app won't install.”
Ensure you have sufficient storage space on your device (at least 100 MB recommended) have a stable internet connection, and that your device is not on a beta software version.
“I can't find the Filament Bible App content after installing.“
Make sure you have a Filament-enabled Tyndale Bible. The app requires a compatible print Bible to unlock its full features. Look for the Filament logo on the Bible's cover and within the first few pages of the Bible.
