Creating and Setting Up Your Account

Just got your first Filament Edition Bible? This guide walks you through downloading the app, creating your account, and getting your Bible and device fully connected.

What you'll need

  • Your physical Filament Edition Bible

  • A phone or tablet (iOS/iPadOS or Android)

First-Time Setup

After downloading, and with your Filament Edition Bible, follow these steps to get started:

  1. Open the Filament Bible App

  2. Tap “Yes, let’s go” to begin setup, or tap Log In if you already have an account.

  3. When prompted, allow camera access and scan the Filament Edition Bible icon using your device camera. The app will automatically identify your Bible edition and add it to your library.

  4. Create a free Filament account.

    Why create an account? An account gives you access to reading plans with progress tracking, easy sign-in across multiple devices, and a central place to manage all your Filament Bible editions. Already have an account? Tap the yellow login link to sign in instead.

    Your password must include at least 1 lowercase letter, 1 uppercase letter, 1 number, 1 special character, and a minimum of 8 characters.

  5. Once linked, you can access videos, devotionals, maps, and other content tied to each page of your Bible.

  6. Scan the calibration page Tap Next, turn to the page number shown in the app, align the camera to it, and tap Go to scan.

    The calibration page number varies by edition and the app will always show you the correct page for your specific Bible.

  7. Wait for the download to complete The app downloads content files that map each page of your Bible edition to the right material. While it downloads, the app previews some of its features. This only happens once per edition.

  8. Your Bible and device are now connected and you're ready to use everything Filament has to offer!

What's next?

  • Scan Filament icon on any page to instantly load content connected to that scripture.

  • Set up a reading plan to stay on track with your Bible reading.

  • Add more Bibles via More → Switch to a different Bible → Activate a new Bible.

Quick reference

Location to sign up: More → tap "Join Filament" at the top of the screen

Guest option: Available at launch - an account is recommended for full access

Time zone: Optional - used for reading plan notifications

Add more Bibles later: More → Switch to a different Bible → Activate a new Bible
