Using the Audio Bible Tool
The Filament Bible App includes a streaming Audio Bible tool that syncs directly to the page you're reading. Listen alongside your Bible, navigate by verse, and keep the rest of the app fully accessible while audio plays.
Getting Started
1. Tap the Audio Bible icon: Tap the Audio Bible icon in the bottom navigation bar. The player will open and instantly queue up the audio synced to the first verse on your current page.
2. Tap Play: Audio begins from the first verse on the page and continues playing as you follow along.
Navigation Controls
Jump 15 seconds: Use the 15-second skip buttons to jump forward or backward within the current passage.
Skip chapters: Use the chapter skip buttons to jump forward or back by a full chapter.
If you skip back while in the middle of a chapter, it jumps to the beginning of that chapter rather than the previous one.
Scrub to a specific verse: Drag the playhead along the scrub bar to move directly to any individual verse within the current chapter. The verse reference updates as you drag so you can land exactly where you want.
Using the App While Audio Plays
Tap the bar on the audio player to minimize it. The player collapses to a smaller bar, leaving enough screen space to read articles, browse the See section, and use all other Filament features as normal.
If you start a video while audio is playing, the Audio Bible will automatically pause to let the video play.
Audio Bible Settings
Go to More → App Settings to find the Audio Bible settings section. Your choices here become the default every time you open the Audio Bible.
Playback speed Choose from 1x (normal), 1.25x, or 1.5x speed.
Keeping Audio and Page in Sync
Sync page to audio: tap the Sync button to jump the displayed page forward to match where the audio currently is.
Sync audio to page: navigate to the page you want, then tap the Audio Bible icon to close and reopen the player. It will reopen synced to the first verse on your current page.
Quick Reference
Open: Tap the Audio Bible icon in the bottom navigation bar
Starts at: First verse on your current page
Minimize player: Tap the bar on the player to collapse it and use the rest of the app
Video conflict: Starting a video automatically pauses the Audio Bible
Navigation:
Jump 15 seconds - use the skip forward/back buttons
