Navigating in Four Different Ways
Filament keeps your app and physical Bible in sync through four different navigation methods. Use whichever fits best for how you're reading.
Navigation Options
1. Scan a page The fastest way to sync the app to exactly where you are in your Bible. Tap the scan icon in the center of the bottom navigation bar, point your camera at the Filament icon/page number, and tap Go. The app immediately loads content for that page.
Best for: jumping into reading from any point in your Bible.
2. Turn the page with arrows: While viewing a page's content, tap the arrow icons to move forward or backward one page at a time. The app advances in sync with your physical Bible.
Best for: reading continuously page by page without rescanning.
3. Enter a page number directly. Tap Page number displayed at the top of the app to open a text field, then type any page number to jump directly to it.
Best for: when you already know the page number and don't want to scan.
4. Browse by book and chapter Tap the book and chapter name in the app to open the full Bible browser. Scroll through the list of books in order, select a book, then tap a chapter number. The app jumps straight to the page where that chapter begins in your Bible.
Tip: Start typing a book name in the search field to find it quickly rather than scrolling. For example, type "Ga" to find Galatians.
Quick reference
Page arrows: Tap the left or right arrow to move one page at a time
Enter page number: Tap the page number in the app → type any page number
Book & chapter: Tap the book/chapter name → browse or search → select chapter
